Daniel Myers is a free-lance graphic designer and art director whose work with luxury goods has been featured regularly in magazines such as House Beautiful, Town & Country, and W Magazine to name a few. Working primarily in high-end diamond advertising, he caught the jewelry designing bug and began creating his own beaded pieces. He currently resides in Bellows Falls, VT when he is not traveling with Materialis.
Pacita Prasarn is an experienced retail and event manager most often working in jewelry related environments such as Lord & Taylor Fine Jewelry in New York City and Beadniks Bead Store in Brattleboro, VT. In 2003 she became a professional Middle Eastern belly dance instructor/performer teaching workshops and classes throughout the East Coast of the USA and in Asia where she was featured several times on television. She recently moved back to New York City but continues to travel the world with Materialis. For more information on her belly dance workshops go to Pacita’s dance website.
In 2000 Daniel and Pacita became involved in the Vermont Renaissance Festival through long time SCA friends. They eventually left their office cubicle lives in New York City for more creative pursuits at the Festival. Pacita became the Merchant & Entertainment Manager for VTRF while Daniel became the Advertising Director & Designer. Around the same time the idea of combining their creative outlets (dance, jewelry & clothing design, and renaissance faires/SCA) into a business began to take shape. In 2004 they attended their first event as merchants and Materialis was born.
